Lying by proxy now? Putting words in dead soldiers’ mouths? If I were the mother of one of the soldiers, I would scream from the nearest microphone. Surely the parents have some possible recourse? The man is absolute trash.

My old brain is short circuiting. I thought most people in America were basically good. But the stream of obvious lies from EVERYONE makes me hope Trump is rewarding them financially. I just can’t grasp the depth of the danger, I guess because I have a strong Pollyanna approach to life. My bad.

Can this be legal?

He reminds me of Chance the Gardener in Being There VERY much. I feel bad loathing such a pathetic person as Trump….but I loathe him anyway.

…while they try to take your network off the air permanently. This administration is gunning for free speech wherever they find some.

I remember watching a lawyer show—The Defenders, with E G Marshall and Robert Reed, aired early 1960s—with mom one night. They discussed “criminal assault”, and I didn’t know the meaning (age 11). That’s the first instance I recall. Weird memory.

He’s being abused. Referring to an impossible conversation, out loud, with a live mic—and having spent much of his life on camera—is more alarming than anything prior. He needs to be in a protected, closely supervised environment.

What could go wrong? I know NO verifiable information about intelligence work, and I can say confidently that this is idiotic.

Probably naive of me, but I’m unable to shake the feeling that some of the brilliant news reporting we had from Huntley/Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, Roger Mudd, etc. MIGHT have been enough to prevent the worst of the worst abuses from Trump and his MAGA.

Hideous, very evocative of Third Reich zeitgeist.

I have three witches in my little circle of friends. Now that I think about it, not one of them would ever do something this evil. I’m old, and I know evil has always been with us, but Trump has broken my heart with the level of harm he shoves at us through every barrier.

It’s as if they all drank a poisoned brew. I’ve never seen insanity like this EVERYWHERE I turn. I’d like to go back to testing for witchcraft. Nothing else could cause this nationwide dementia.

Such an embarrassment.

Having Trump in office has, somehow, reinforced my belief that the very rich are selfish, awful people. (Yes, of course, some are great humanitarians.)

And up is down and black is white. And I swear that the kids whose parents lived through Trump will either be utterly destroyed by what they experienced or will be the strongest, most resilient Americans ever. He IS an extinction level event.

FIFA should pull every game that was to be played in the US, moving them to Canada and Mexico. We do not deserve the honor of participating in. We suck. Badly.

Odd. I remember a time when you simply TOLD your friends about your news: no staging, no special effects, just words conveying information. Have we reached the point where we must be entertained before we pay attention to news from a friend? Does our friend need multiple audiences for the news?
