Saw the film yesterday and the first thing I wanted to do is listen to my fellow Greek @sturdyalex.bsky.social talk about it. As much as I loved the scale and vision of Nolan’s film for me it lacked the heart of the Odyssey… the Gods, the sex, the humour and some .. Greekness.

Re-upping this for anyone who missed it. Must listen review!

I just miss people. We seem to be cutting human interaction out of any aspect of our lives that we can.

Everything, now. People expect you to message them and ask.

I miss when I felt I could just call someone, without it being seen as a massive aggression. Now, it takes ten minutes by message to arrange a two minute phone-call.

This is a very enjoyable follow up to seeing the film. Being familiar only with some of the most famous elements of the story it was interesting to hear about what was missing and what was different.
