I just think anyone who mentions knowing Dr. Oz for clout needs to be laughed out of every room and not touted as a "longevity expert" based on their "studies" made of faulty data and incomplete records. This is just on my mind for no particular reason.

It's 7:40 PM the night before I leave town for a work trip, and the spectrum my brain is on has slid hard into ADHD executive dysfunction. I still need to pack and clean my kitchen but that means unloading the dishwasher and I don't want to, but I can't pack until I clean my kitchen

This post made me go, "Oh! Everyone's just arguing with each other about fanfic." Babes, for every obsessively researched canon-compliant fic, the ecosystem also needs a surface-level fic that is just a lot of *fun.* That's just how fandom works, even fandoms for an ancient poem.

You don't actually have to be faithful to the source material. Like, ever. The source material can be turned and twisted and you can see how light reflects off it and bounces if you do this or that, and that gives us a better, richer, more lively understanding of the source material.
