28 and tired. Writer I guess?

I feel like it still does because the movie does ultimately present a really obvious and clear way out with having somebody else make a wish to counter his own. The point is Bear doesn’t try that hard until it inconveniences him, and then suddenly it’s really easy but too late

010

Bear was also very clear that he didn’t want to undo the wish, just alter it.

100

In what way? The wish clearly works, Bear knows it works, and the people at the shop treat it like common sense that it works and anybody can use it one time. He goes out of his way to avoid seriously attempting to fix it because he wants Nikki to still love him, not undo the wish.

They realized awhile ago there’s literally no consequences for digging your heels in for debates, and in fact you get rewarded by just holding hour ground and lying

010

What if I listen to experts instead of some weird guy jerking himself off by arguing with people?

000

Yeah this is like the worlds most escapable horror plot device. The issue is Bear doesn’t want to actually escape it, just alter it slightly so Nikki is still in love with him but less creepy about it.

120

That’s not what the article you linked said tho

110

I don’t think that matters if vaccinated people are getting sick less to spread the load

110

Most of those moments in Obsession happened after the scene broke, imo. The most obvious is Nikki snaps back into consciousness when making out with Bear, there’s a clear break, and THEN the scary sound happens. It already startles you before the noise unlike most horror which has them coincide.

I feel like the movie goes out of its way to show it isn’t inescapable at all. He could have gotten somebody else to make a wish, but that Bear waits until it’s literally too late and shit got too bad to do anything

040

Quick question, do you think vaccines exist to make people less infections or to lower the chance of infection in the first place for the one getting it?

020

In other words, it doesn’t say what you think it says

240

the data in this study suggests that vaccines retain very good efficacy, but that symptomatic breakthrough infections may be as infectious as symptomatic infections in those who are not vaccinated

240

Because you’re a fucking dipshit who thinks nuance means ignoring science

010

Thought this was about Disney’s Goofy tbh

How convenient that everybody agrees with him but is just too scared to say it

I gave this person actual data about how trans women don’t compete any better and they just refused to read it and kept saying stuff about how being tall was too much of an advantage. These people think women are so fucking helpless in the most sexist way possible.

2100

I’d do it for free that’s how fucked up I am

080

I’ve seen Stancil outright quote people who say shit like “a lot of people just never learned how to be proper adults” and adding onto it. He legitimately thinks this stuff boils down to a skill issue.

Transphobes really hate engaging with reality
