yeah great question. is emily wilson even qualified to have an opinion on a style of writing which largely consists of dialogue meant to be performed aloud

i don't agree with everything in emily wilson's review. but between wilson and the posters trying to prove her personal interpretation of the film is "wrong" because they assume she just *forgot* about tennyson's ulysses, i don't think the one looking bad there is wilson

misbehaving in the cha chaan teng style restaurant (because i am not actually IN a cha chaan teng and therefore did not have to take my own chopsticks from the—in my defense—very prominent bin)

through a series of yes-ands i ended up spending last night taking a walking tour and then going drinking with a group of fiftysomething korean engineers, and i hope they'll always treasure the buzzed selfies we took together

still musing on the emphasized pissing and drowning inside the trojan horse. sure it has to be convincing but could it have been maybe ten feet up the beach? maybe pass a bottle around? could it- [touching my earpiece] no? you guys absolutely had to do it like that? uh. ok. you... must know best
