Thank-you to our MNC FD here in #NorthCowichan for doing what you can to help with the interior #BCwildfires. On a side note, this year on council we approved creating our own local wildfire strategy and hiring a full time wildfire specialist for our department.
Municipality of North CowichanFive North Cowichan Fire Deartment members, along with two trucks, are now in the Interior supporting BC Wildfire Service. The crews will be working with the many other fire departments from the Island and across the province as they aim to get the upper hand with the blazes currently burning.

Farm country, murals, machines, a bike shop stop & of course a bakery stop in the mix. 50km ride yesterday on my Trek Checkpoint which turns 4yrs old next month. I was thinking about it the other day while riding that I will probably keep this bike longer than any other I have owned before. #bikesky
