It just feels like a backhanded comment to me. Insulting your old work seems like an indirect insult to your core audience for ever liking it. I know there can be a tongue & cheek joke there, but still. If it really bothers you, there's nothing stopping you from doing a soft reboot of your work 3/3
Most of your core audience often found you through your old work, and it's what made them fall in love with your style. Even if it's rough around the edges, it's still special and says something important about the skills and talents you had and developed. 2/3
Also, is Toby trying to intentionally make a tumblr sexyman per chapter? I feel like between Spamton, Tenna, and Flowery the numbers are starting to get too high
