Only 3 days until the #SplatoonRaiders adventure begins! The Spirhalite Islands are flush with ferocious Salmonids, including some with strange new evolutions. Are you ready to tackle them?

The guides contain information about the gear you obtain as well as the ecology of Salmonids. It can be good to look through them once in a while and immerse yourself in the knowledge!

Big Man will record the information you gather in your adventures. The Hoard contains what secrets of the Spirhalite Islands you've learned, and you might find some details about the history of Deep Cut too.

There are lots of Salmonid Relics to find on the Spirhalite Islands. Rumor has it that holding them can grant you a mysterious power. Surely such artifacts are worth a fortune! #SplatoonRaiders

Summer greetings! The Squid Research Lab hopes you're keeping cool out there and finding some time to kick back. Deep Cut seems pretty unbothered with the glaring sun of the Spirhalite Islands, probablly because they grew up with the rugged climate of the Splatlands.

This creature has two large wing-like appendages. We...think it's a Salmonid, but we're not entirely sure. From the only reference materials we've been able to obtain, all we can deduce is that it is extremely violent. #SplatoonRaiders

Scrappers are Salmonids that charge forward on vehicles with attached shields. If you attack the shield, it might malfunction and stop them in their tracks. While they work on repairs, you can circle around behind them to attack.

Maws hide in ink and stage surprise attacks from below. The Maws of the Spirhalite Islands have strong plating on their undersides too, so try to hit them in the back instead. #SplatoonRaiders

The Bombloons are a gadget for the Tactical Tank. They float in the air & explode when hit by a weapon. If you deploy two or more, they can connect to each other & explode at the same time. Master this aspect of this gadget & you'll clear out a horde of Salmonids with one blast!

The Shellacker is a gadget for the Power Tank. Charge it up and it will launch a round that can unleash a devastating explosion. While a fully charged shot is incredibly powerful, finding the time to charge up can be a challenge.

The Booyarang is a gadget for the Speed Tank. It stops mid-air when thrown, pauses, and then returns to your hand. With good positioning and good clearance to throw it, you can hit a lot of Salmonids, especially if you move to the right spot while waiting for it to come back.

Drizzlers fire shots that create rainclouds of ink while hiding behind the protection of armored umbrellas. These Salmonids are most vulnerable right when they shoot, as the recoil causes their umbrella to flip. Sending their own rounds back at them is also a great way tactic.

Slammin' Lids pilot a disc-shaped flying vehicle. They create a force field underneath themselves and spawn in Lesser Salmonids. If you enter the force field, they'll try to crush you by falling down—but if you use that to get on top of them, you'll have the advantage.

Flyfish are Salmonids that fire missiles from their shoulders to attack you from afar. On the Spirhalite Islands, the Flyfish has thinner armor on its cockpit than normal. Hit the Smallfry piloting it to take it out—it's a small target though, so line up your shots with care!

The Splatana flings ink with each swing. Use a charged slash to lunge forward and unleash in a wide arc. This weapon could give you the edge you need in close quarters with the Salmonids—and check out those nifty rotating blades!

Stringers fire ink in multiple directions simultaneously. Charge them up to not only increase your power and range, but also to cause the ink you shoot to explode! Find a safe position to shoot from and you can inflict loads of damage.

Brushes are lightweight weapons that offer quick movement while inking. Swing them to fling ink in a wide arc. If you attack fiercely while darting in and out of range, you can run circles around those Salmonids!
