The point is that it isn't the same, and that watching a movie is an inherently better use of money than gambling. You don't have to agree, but that's going to be a pretty popular opinion, for obvious reasons. What's "misleading" is to pretend that the ROI framing is the only honest one.

Yeah, it rings true for me because I have some personal experience with (a) visiting gravely ill people in the hospital and (b) theater makeup. Maybe it's a totally candid, unstaged photo! But maybe not, and with a good cosmetologist and photographer you'd never know he was cyanotic and gasping.
