Iowan in Minnesota. Hawkeyes forever. Former teacher, Sort of a lawyer, kind of

I’d say he couldn’t get through the prepared speech without riffing about “how he basically won” within a minute

I’ve had that same thought! If he reneges and says anything contrary the strait the closes again. Think of the agony.

Lotta lonely farmers out there man

010

Wait, you don’t just have to scream fraud and claim you’re the victim of a mass conspiracy? There’s another way!?

It might weirdly matter on the other side. I see Lindell seems to be on cruise control for the governor nom, but the state GOP chair is making noises about Lindell not being an MN resident. That’s electability because he knows nobody is beating Klobuchar & Lindell might drag down their other slate.

010

nope. Then you’re stuck with whatever the electorate gives you. (Although the one big exception is Biden stepping down after the primaries because he was not electable suggests that it can sort of matter)

I just have a hard time thinking that Peggy is going to lose in this environment considering the likely top of the MN ticket for governor and the deterioration of the Trump admin. But yeah, that was gross. Although Angie’s surrogate who made that call is an absolute fucking moron.

Yeah, 100%, but that’s an age old problem that a lot of the old voters have seen play out for a long time. The best case scenario this cycle is that we get as many good lefty dems into power this year as we can and give the older dems hope that we can actually start to go in the offensive.

There’s a lot feedback loops for how people get there, and I agree wanting to win to prevent more damage by the GOP is definitely conservative in a sense. That’s just a big chunk of the most Dem primary voters. They’re educated old anxious people. They’ll vote for the left if they get through.

020

Yeah sorta, I think you’re missing that a lot of very committed older Dem primary voters are susceptible to electability arguments. They’re worried about the stakes and don’t trust the electorate. Here in MN a very nice and old Craig supporter knocked and basically said as much to me on my porch.

This is both true for most every issue you could debate with the right, and also requires a lot of personal discipline (particularly in the social media quick take era).

Has he endorsed Paxton yet

000

Also, Dr. Pepper is pretty good too

000

I wonder if the Iranians looked at the Trump administration’s trading activity and realized they could wet their beak too

If she starts complaining about Monsanto poisoning our drinking water are you going to be mad that she’s catering to MAHA?

000

“By shooting one of them accidentally!”

000

That’s even setting aside the biggest and most stupid gerrymander is the senate and we can’t easily do anything about that.

I have been thinking that some form of massive civil penalties for a new tort of breach of the public trust with retroactive personal liability and standing conferred by statute.

If you think he’s not anti-capitalist, then how come he’s outside the store without any bags indicating he purchased any of the items.

“Yes, yes, I’m very concerned about Doge stuff but where’s my fucking check.”
