This week I was at the MN Cooperative Summit in Duluth. I learned about the long and storied history of co-ops in MN and how they allow everyone to thrive in our economy.

I had a great time connecting with neighbors door-knocking for candidates who have our backs and are ready to hold ICE accountable for terrorizing our communities! There are just 15 days until the August 11th primary.

Our city is reeling from mass shootings and gun violence this past weekend. I want you to know that the City takes this very seriously. My colleagues and I are taking steps to help ensure all of our neighborhoods are safer.

I am excited to be working with community leaders towards a pocket park on 38th Street & 4th Ave. We had a great meeting about this project today. This community-driven project will bring much needed investment and attention to the 38th street corridor.

Recent research from the Star Tribune shows that while Twin Cities police departments said they did not share data with federal agents for the purpose of immigration enforcement, federal agencies had means of accessing this data anyway.

Heritage Park is an affordable housing development in North MPLS that was intended to remedy illegal segregation in the previous public housing on the site. It is privately owned on public land. The private owner has neglected the property so badly that almost every unit is currently unlivable

I’m happy to announce that the City Council voted to approve the County’s plan for the Lyndale Reconstruction Project! This protects the $9M from the Federal Gov for the project.

I've seen enough! In City Hall, I'm working on transit improvements and decarbonization buildings right now. We know that gas in buildings and oil from cars and trucks are the two biggest sources of carbon pollution. Transit and electrification of buildings are our way out.

Less than a week since Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was murdered by ICE in Texas, ICE killed 26yr-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine. He was with his wife and 3yr-old child. This is the 11th known fatal shooting by ICE since 2025. Justice for all stolen and taken lives. Abolish ICE now!

At next Thursday's Council meeting we will be voting on Municipal Consent for the Lyndale Ave reconstruction. The plan from the County is clearly a compromise between the two main positions: more safety improvements vs. no change.

At today’s Public Health, Safety, and Equity Committee meeting we heard a presentation from staff about a pilot program for Drones as First Responders that would be carried out by a company called Skydio. We then heard from dozens of community members, some from Ward 8 but most from the Northside...

These continuous hateful and violent attacks from the white house on our Muslim neighbors are heinous and hurt all of us. I will work alongside my Muslim neighbors and community leaders to ensure our neighbors are protected from the violence that these kinds of statements can cause.
