I've been thinking about my older tunes lately, and about some of the attempts I've made to "rework" or "update" some of them, and it lines up with how I feel about updated versions of other electronic musicians' low-fidelity work: it often loses something in the translation. it becomes too normal

aaaah and I wouldn't have done nearly as much with electronic music without the .mod soundtrack that had been ripped from the game so I could listen to all of it in a tracker on loop for hours & experiment on it
