My emotional support headphones that worked this morning are either dead-dead or the battery is just dead. Regardless I must spend the day now without them while taking public transit.

Years ago there was a book I came across called “Dictator Style” an interior design study on various dictators and their homes and this room is giving the same vibe as the ones in the book did.

Upon my sister’s insistence, we took my 70 year old mom to the dive bar that birthed grunge (The Central Tavern). She even braved using the bathroom lolol

I’m a pretty strong swimmer. I competitive swam as a kid/teen, was a lifeguard at one point, taught swimming lessons to adults, & have no issues with open water. With all that I still fully agree that underwater cave diving is fucking insane behavior.

I feel very very fortunate that Seattle has so many farmer’s markets and that a number of them are year round. They’re basically the same price now as the grocery stores but without all the parasites.

Every morning my cat decides to sing the song of his people at approximately 5am, make sure everyone is awake, then runs off to go back to sleep….regardless of what day it is. Happy Saturday morning at 5:09am.

My midlife crisis is basically just what I’ve been doing for decades anyways: going to shows, buying records , & getting tattoos.

I’ve read multiple memoirs from members of various bands in the 70s UK punk & post-punk scene and almost all of them have mentioned that The Buzzcocks were absolutely lovely people who helped all the new baby bands out.

According to Johnny Marr’s autobiography, Morrisey was just as insufferable when he was 24 as he is now. Except he actually showed up to shows when he was 24.
