As seen on LJ, FB, Xwitter, and posters in the post office. Firefighter. Fella. Sometimes technie (for that sweet, sweet techie money). Thought I was deeply cynical, but it turns out that I was an optimist. For external use only. Apply directly to forehead

Wondering if the Magnitsky Act covers this...

I can think of no possible political down side to antagonizing Florida's Catholic population.

And then there's laundry afterwards. "Please let this stain be borscht, _please_ let this stain be borscht..." (Yes, I realize that a borscht stain looks nothing like a blood stain. Work with me here.)

I don't think transit and bicycling should be taken in isolation. Periodically, I have meetings in the city, and I use a bikeshare bike to get to the subway system. I was recently in Denver, and their light rail system cars either have bike racks or marked space for bikes.

Traditional Russian greeting... Bread, salt, vodka, flying limbs...

Of course, the rapid run-up means the rate on new borrowing is soaring, making the debt even worse.

MAHA crowd would be all about dysentery being good for you.

The Bar owes the lawyers involved discipline. Just saying.

Or just clarify that Justices are federal employees and covered by the same ethics restrictions as almost every other federal employee.

Dems cannot expand the court until they start taking it seriously. If Dems expand it to 13 in 2028, and then keep not taking it seriously the way they have for the last 40 years, decisions that are 6-3 now are going to be 10-3 by 2040.

001

Gonna point out that Dems need to spend a generation playing as hardball on the court as the McConnell GOP did before they even think about expanding, or else decisions that are 6-3 today are going to be 10-3 in the future.

13. (13 circuits, plus having an even number of justices means the potential for split decisions.)

000

It can, it's just going to require accepting that the Republicans voted to stop being a developed country and facing some pretty hard austerity.

Running it just like a business. Well, one of his businesses.

My employer is very clear that I can only expense cattle class, but if I want to upgrade on a different transaction (so it doesn't show up on the receipt), that's on me.

(And when I fly long-haul, the airline is usually much more aggressive about enforcing size restrictions, which means the carryons slide into the overhead on their side, making packing a lot easier.)

Premium economy (usually) gets you a couple inches of legroom. Business usually also gets you an extra 2-3 inches of width.

A lot of them are flying on someone else's dime (traveling for work). Their employer may not be paying for first, but they have the points to upgrade.

Rolling their carryon past that "your carryon must fit in this cage" near the gate without any visible recognition that that whole stand could fit in their bag...

Wait a few years, and parents will be stuck living with kids because who can afford eldercare?
