We are now in mandatory evacuation zone from the Aspen Acres fire. Waiting just a bit to go. There is a good deal of ground to cover before it gets here. I have friends who are closer to it and hope they go now.

Last night, the Aspen Acres fire moved 5 miles closer to the house. We are not quite in the pre evacuation zone, but we are less than a half mile away from it. Packed and ready to go. #AspenAcresFire

This morning the Aspen Acres fire was 365 acres. At 4 pm, it was 2400 acres. 3 hours later, 23,000 acres. I took this photo at about 2 pm, and about 20 miles north of the fire.
