That part is almost certainly not legal though? But of course it will have to be litigated I'm sure before any investigation happens, just another way of throwing crap into the system to slow it down enough to take advantage of it.

I'm guessing: Blanche et al are maybe okay now just making false representations in federal court, because they think they will get paid and pardoned. And we'll have to fight tooth and nail to take power back and spend ages chasing down all the lies and frauds to claw back money and accountability.

Yes, but bribery is the act of accepting personal compensation in return for exercising a power of the held office. SCOTUS made this harder to prosecute with its dumbass explicit-quid-pro-quo-only interpretation, but a newer packed SCOTUS might see things more reasonably.

You have to wonder what he's getting in return for some of these. Bribery *is* illegal and not an official act. I think we need to be doing an investigation into these pardons and find the communication trails between his people who arrange them. Jail for these people.

It's a far cry to suggest a military victory COULD even be achieved in this way (which is why diplomacy was always the best route). But the idea that, of all people, Trump is the one capable of achieving any such victory when he has no actual skills other than bullying and blustering .. just no way.

This is a sham though. The deal will (or should) never hold up in a future administration. Trump invented a paper tiger that’s only real if people believe in it. And some people believe in it enough to pay for—or cynical enough to take credit for—vanquishing it.

Everyone should definitely vote AND do other things. There is no good reason not to, if you fail to do that then you have let them defeat you. Their strategy includes looking powerful and inevitable, but they are neither. Their assumption of power only works as far as it is allowed.

Would you agree the importance of voting varies with the difference in outcomes each candidate will direct us towards? Lately, one party enables actual fascism so that’s preeeetty different and important to counter, right? I’m curious why you would downplay the importance of the vote this cycle.

The reason this sounds like it’s on repeat is that each of several previous elections WAS the most important at the time, because fascism has been on the ballot. So the next one is our only chance to prevent a step up in future damage. It truly IS the most important election since the last one. 

It’s true, but I would suggest if someone is trying to build a bioterror weapon for example maybe we have a different balance of needs. It was just a thought experiment—It’s moot in any case as there can be lots of models globally and we likely can’t regulate them all so bioterror we shall have.
