Plus, uh, when's the last time you've seen an in-game calendar? Travelling as much as the Scions do makes time keeping VERY difficult.

By the time of Dawntrail, 4 years have passed since Realm Reborn. The twins have gotten older, but they're STILL the younger cast members and Jessaria's their self-proclaimed aunt, their age is practically stone in her eyes and that's not changing anytime soon.

There'll never be eliminating all sorrow, she understands that, but Jessaria doesn't want a Utopia, she just wants a more accommodating world, where no one need suffer to death for the crime of not being enough.

But even if Jessaria is someone else now, someone magically "fixed" without her consent, the scars remain, her beliefs remain. The day she accepts the World's cruelty as immutable is the day she dies.

Elpis? According to Venat, Azem had made a magical ward not unlike what Jessaria's experienced, to help those Ancient society considered dead weight. Hythlodeus apparently has it too. Awakening the Echo may have caused her to inherit that "Accessibility" Ward.

Upon learning about the Echo's personal effects, Jessaria thought her 'personal effect' violated her on a fundamental level, turning her into someone actually capable of getting shit done, and feared that in so doing; it justified everything she went through as deserved for not being enough.

But on a more serious note, it's arguably already happened. Jessaria before awakening the Echo was a person who wouldn't amount to anything. Too fragile to fight, too weak to labor, too anxious to fish, too imprecise to craft. Then the Echo awakened and she became a stranger to herself.

As much as Jessaria wants it to happen, I highly doubt Mehryde, Mihleel or Rhulmeira would EVER slip dewprism into the Warrior of Light's food.

Tldr: Mind Control: In Practice: Terrifying. In Theory: Hot as hell. Jessaria's a bit of a hypno slut, or she would be if the right situation randomly happened to her, but that'll never happen because it'd conflict with literally anyone's already existing characterization.
