The hubris is truly appalling

I think I’m going to put one last post up there letting people know where I’m writing now once I actually get the blog up but since it won’t be a newsletter anymore, I won’t be migrating subscribers and migrating posts is probably something that will happen in 3-4 business years.

Is that what you ended up sticking with? I’m looking for something relatively simple that’s not Wordpress so I can focus more on the writing and less on the window dressing and admin work.

Do you have any sort of grocery store that does the bulk beans where you can dispense as much or as little as you want? Our Central Market does and has a great selection and you can grind it there and the cost per oz might be a little higher but you’re buying less and not wasting any.

My husband says it’s gross but he doesn’t like flavored coffee and you know sometimes I think he’s gross and I don’t tell him that so I think he should return the favor

I’m not sure if it’s universally available but there’s a Texas pecan flavored coffee at our Costco and that is what I drink.

That’s easy for me, I never shut up about Ole Miss sports. No offseason, baby!

I got the Momcozy pouch filler and I already had a stick blender with the little container attachment thing and a little funnel for filling spice jars and I just throw the fruit and veggies in the stick blender thing and then pour it in the pouch filler! Will add links in another post one sec

I think more classes that focus on entrepreneurship in school would be helpful for ADHD people to be successful. My entire ADHD family are entrepreneurs. It just works well for people with 900 interests. It’s hard to get started when you don’t know how business works though.

I would actually love more discussion about the former topic. What are ways that society and the workforce can use our brains in a way that’s mutually beneficial? How can we utilize the ADHD strengths rather than just calling us disordered?

But then down below he starts talking about environmental factors like diet and schools, which is fundamentally questioning whether our brains are wired differently. That’s what frustrates me. I promise you I’ve been like this my whole life.

The framing on this is bugging me. Neurological disorder or social construct is a false dichotomy. Our brains are wired differently but calling it a neurological disorder is the social construct. If you need our brains to behave differently, then sure, it’s a “disorder” and medicine is helpful.

I have been least affected by my adhd in this period of my life than any other that I can recall. It might actually be an asset! (With all of the lists and coping and organizational tools I already have)
