Re-watching True Blood. There’s a scene in which Sookie eats pecan pie and…it’s the weirdest pie I’ve ever seen. It’s like the producers have never seen a pecan pie before. It is entirely the wrong color(!) and texture, and for some reason that bothers the heck out of me.

Anyone who thinks this is “normal” is politically and historically illiterate. Look at which states got the most federal funding during the Biden administration, for example. They are overwhelmingly states that didn’t vote for Biden. Trump is making the United States weaker.
