New logo for the brand!!!! We got some fun things cooking up for a Kickstarter launch next week!!!

Grateful that @artiodaktyl.bsky.social was onboard with experimenting with the color palette and to push the looks of this even more! Even did a color blindness test to see if the colors would translate well.

From sketch to inking, @artiodaktyl.bsky.social is killing it with really carrying out the grit I wanted when portraying Shifter!

When coming up with a signature for the Tambal, I gave @artiodaktyl.bsky.social two sketches of butterfly with eyes for wings. I felt it was a fitting symbol for the Tambal as they strive to gracefully to see and known all without being detected.

The location setting for Shifter’s story will mostly take place within the city of Chicago (a place I grew up around). A lot of the places are reference to actually location folks might be familiar with. Can you guess what place I’m referencing here?

The reason behind the back design for his suit stems from the term “Egg”, which refers to a person who is trans but hasn't yet realized or accepted their identity. I felt wings often symbolized birth and growth for trans folks, adding to the phoenix theme.

Shifter is an assassin that uses a lot of tech and gadgets he’s created. His mask can read infrared signatures, as well as give him night vision when needed. You can see the finished pages debut at SDCC with @diwatakomiks.bsky.social as a part of New Icons!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility 🏳️‍⚧️ We wanted to share a sketch of one of the preview pages announcing Shifter’s comic! Despite being taught to hide in the shadows as an assassin, he will show himself and fight actively against those that oppress and harass others.

Early stages of Shifter’s design by @artiodaktyl.bsky.social When asked what Shifter looks like, I wanted someone that looked like an average Filipino man. Someone you could easily bump into on the streets and not know they were a vigilante that kicked butt. This became an alt fit though
