What if they're all working at the coffee shop already, and the only position is making coffee 😭 I guess it would be all the creepy house wolves making everyone lattes, instead. Somehow, I don't think Tim would be any good at it.

I have to remind myself sometimes that a stupid, simple expression isn't cheating if it's funnier when I need something to be funny. I'm always out here trying to draw everyone's full ass face, and sometimes goofy dot eyes is a better option.

My brain is still booting up after camping without signal in the UP in Michigan for the better part of a week, and like anyone who can't focus for shit in our modern era, I'm just sort of hacking my brain to squeeze whatever productivity I can out of it. Every task today is in 5 minute intervals lol

I doubt it would be reasonable given the amount of moderation needed, but I need Netflix to introduce a comment section. I'm so used to watching Youtube videos and scrolling to the comments to see how people react to stuff. It's weird watching anything on Netflix and not having that validation lol

This kid is going to his new home tomorrow with my friend's mom, and while I'll miss him, I'll be glad to be down to a reasonable number of cats again. (Six, of course.) Edward has been an indoor cat for a week and apparently adapted to it immediately.

I'm still fostering Edward, the cat that I trapped a week ago and got neutered, and he has the weirdest build. He's 70% legs and head and 30% whatever else. Definitely a teenager cat. I've never had a feral cat domesticate this quickly. This man wasn't made for the streets.

It occurs to me, from time to time, that traditional comics are made with a model that has a lot of division of labor. Writers, letterers, pencilers, inkers, etc...Even sound effects people! It seems nice to be able to work that way, but I can't relate, because I've always done all of those jobs.

I felt like a jerk while Arthur was gone, because I have so few photos of him and so many of Mouse. Then I got him back and realized it's because he will not stop moving when you want to take a picture.

Arthur is home!!! I trapped him this morning at my neighbor's house, very unexpected tbh. There'll be two pages this week because my will to live has returned lol

Arthur has reliably come by to eat on the porch for a few days now, so I've staged my trap so it doesn't snap on him yet. I want to use the fact that he's coming by 2-3 times a night to train him to go into the trap before I set it to close. It's big enough that he has to go far to get the food.

Arthur is so used to coming to the porch now that he literally stopped by while I was out looking for him with the dog 🤦‍♀️. I'm working on getting him into the bigger trap I borrowed from my neighbor by having it open, but not triggered. It'll take a few days, but I need him to go in there to eat.

I saw Arthur! On my back porch! With my own eyes! That's the first time I've seen him, not through camera footage, in real time, since the 2nd. So that's bolstered my hope quotient a little. I'm going to keep putting out food and just get him used to eating food on my porch exclusively for awhile.

I hate to downgrade my comic posting schedule, but I think I have to. I just am too sad, and I'm going out of town the week of the 20th regardless. So it'll be one page a week for July! Maybe if Arthur comes home, morale will improve, but I'm working so slowly this week.

No Arthur today either. I put out a lot of good food, too. I got the little female kitten to my friend's mom and she'll be spayed today, so now that'll be two fixed cats out of this debacle, but I want my cat back. He hasn't been spotted since Monday.
