So now the players on tour can either put up or shut up- but either way, whatever happens, win or lose I don’t look at this as a positive.

journalists writing how exciting this is- I couldn’t disagree more. it seems like an indictment of women’s tennis, that the level is so bad a one time great player that last won a pro match 8 years ago would return at the most important tournament without even playing a warmup.

Wild to accept a wc into a major after being long retired, over the hill- without playing one tournament in many years, imo. Feels like a stunt- one of these “boxing” matches featuring Jake Paul, or Mike Tyson for that matter. Surprised Wimbledon involved themselves in this.

Man the great takeaway from all this amazing World Cup action is this- people wanna have a good time, eat some good food, have some drinks, sing some songs, make some friends, watch some great athletes competing at the highest level. Everything else is just extraneous noise.

Gotta say the Federer induction in Newport RI -the evening before the first day of The US Open, is tennis dysfunction at the highest levels of incompetence.
