I do not have it in my heart to forgive my congresswoman, Betty McCollum of Minnesota's Fourth Congressional District, for releasing statement after statement of concern when she had the authority to enter government buildings in 2025 and physically citizen's arrest members of DOGE.

There are people on this planet who, if they contracted magical diarrhoea that caused their lower halves to divorce from partnership with their upper halves in explosive and aromatic fashion, I would not mourn. Perhaps this makes me a poor example of bonhomie.

I'm calling it. Today we are celebrating what I have deemed THE CAVALCADE OF ARRRRRRGGHHS! Celebratory events include (but are by no means limited to): - Ugh. - ARRRRRRGGHH! - Fuck this as asexually and as punitively as possible. - Substances? - MAKE ME QUEEN OF AMERICA I GODSDAMN DARE YOU.

I've been seeing a new ad for Angie Craig, Professional Asshole. This one features Minnesota's own Boy Mayor providing her with a ringing endorsement. The contempt our rulers feel for us is palpable.

It remains a mystery to me why MY elected officials - particularly at the federal level - cannot release statements like this. @mccollum.house.gov, I am demanding your statements to follow this model.

If it were up to me, and I was endowed with the power of the presidency I would [TERMS OF SERVICE VIOLATION].

"Trans people are a welcome part of my community. They deserve the same protections, rights, and privileges as any member of my community. They will get the special accommodations they need, just as other specific groups will get their own special accommodations." Not much of a struggle, actually.

It is a little dispiriting to spend 45 minutes crafting a detailed email to an upset client (who is upset after not reading the instructions you already provided) only to have someone else on your team use AI to summarize said email's text and use that instead. I want off of this planet today.

I will give this temporary, time-limited sliver of grace to folks: joking about something that makes you uncomfortable is a common reaction. It carries a mess of unintended consequences for people who’ve experienced SA. Take down your jokes and learn from this. We aren’t asking.

In addition to all of the other fantastic reasons to hate Angie Craig, the fact that her ads keep using the phrase "Big [Industry]" pisses me off to no end. I loathe this turn of phrase, and believe that it makes us all stupider for having to hear it. I am voting in the primary for Peggy Flanagan.

YOU CAN'T CONVERT THE BIGOTS. I'm truly sorry, folks. The Enlightenment ideals of rational persuasion just aren't supported by psychological science. A person can (sometimes, rarely) be convinced. People at scale cannot. We have enemies and we have allies. Use your energy accordingly.
