Cedar River Salmon Journey season begins TOMORROW! 🚨 Every year, adult salmon pass through the Ballard Locks on the final leg of their journey from the ocean back to the streams in which they were born. There, these salmon spawn and die, and the life cycle begins again. (1/2)

The Seattle Aquarium mourns the passing of JJ, an older tufted puffin and beloved longtime resident. A calm and sweet-natured 15-year-old puffin, JJ had faced health issues in recent years and was receiving attentive care from our Birds & Mammals and Veterinary teams. 🖤 (1/5)
