Rejigged plans. Took Brompton for smaller pootle to get used to her again / check how she is after years of little riding. Puncture fairy hit as we reached Hackney. Expected, and really the best place on today's adventure to get one, I suppose.

James Waterhouse is in the building, and he is quite a bit larger than he looks on the telly.

Debating taking the Brompton out for my extended meandering through Angel / Dalston / Hackney tomorrow. Mostly concerned about where I last put the keys for the big D-lock, and whether my Chucks will be enough protection for my toes given the inevitable droppings of said lock on them.

In the kids' judo class my dad taught, the sweet and unassuming students who could and would wipe the floor with you in a few seconds were mostly girls. Dad laughs about the sudden "oh shit" realisation of various boys (and occasionally grown men) who he put them up against to train.

There are no tutorials for weaving in neatly on loose knitting. I might offer points for spotting each variation I tried.
