Why aren't more articles being written called Why is Raye the greatest thing to hit pop music since like possibly I don't know forever.

I notice an old habit from the other place has really started to creep in here. The one where you repost an obnoxious headline and go LOOK AT THIS LOOK AT IT! Really adds to the sum of human happiness and sets my day off with a swing that.

Just watched that Monty Don tribute to Geoff Hamilton that I recorded last night. What a lovely eulogy from one kindred spirit to another. I always knew about Geoff's 'left leaning' politics as MD called them. He was a real gardeners man of the people, pro organic, anti fashion whims. Top man.

The Byrds I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better enters the Fab40 this week and was in the Top 10 and on TOTP the week I went back to school. It was the first time most of us saw THOSE glasses. I capture this moment in Ad Lib. I meant every word of it, especially the bit about going back. Peak me. At 10!

August project. This spare tomato plant, despite sitting neglected and root bound has started producing so I've potted it on with a generous helping of mulch. (Wipes hands on trousers and gets up creakily, Monty Don style.) "And we'll be back in a few weeks to see how it's getting on"

Butterfly watchers. How's it been in your garden? We've had a pleasing resurgence of painted ladies this year and plenty of cabbage whites doing the intercourse all over our kale.

That's shallot. These will be pickled onions by the Christmas after next.
