Trump’s war against Iran is illegal & atrocious. It must end. But it’s also atrocious for anyone to celebrate or defend the fascist Iranian regime, which continues to murder its own people.

Slashing federal health & food safety oversight has major consequences. Trump has eviscerated food safety programs & monitoring requirements. We’ve already had one brutal outbreak from contaminated food & more will come if we don’t turn this around. We must reverse these cuts.

ICE & TSA have now turned airports into a dragnet to grab immigrants who’ve committed no crime, who have work permits, are married to citizens, or have pending green card applications. It’s outrageous. It’s tearing families apart & tearing people away from their communities. We must stop them.

We’re going to turn this around and make transit investment a top federal priority. Transit is essential and makes people’s lives better and more affordable.

This hostility to transit harms the economy and local communities, both red and blue. It increases traffic congestion and pollution. It makes life more expensive for the folks who will need to own cars because they have no other option without great transit.

They told us in Project 2025 they wanted to kill public transit, and they’re now working overtime to do it. They’ve not signed a single capital grant agreement for transit, in an effort to kill major rail, subway, and rapid bus projects across the country.

The deadly terror attack against Berlin Pride yesterday is yet another reminder that LGBTQ people are under threat globally. Whether in Iran, Russia, Qatar, Europe, Uganda, or the U.S., an array of extremists want us gone & are willing to act on their goal to eliminate us. We’re not going anywhere.

If we reform our broken permitting system, allow a public-private partnership & truly rethink how we deliver this and other major infrastructure projects, we’ll get it done.

Where there’s a will there’s a way. Morocco built high speed rail faster & cheaper than what California is doing. Morocco didn’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. It now has faster rail. We can do this in California.

Insulting the Motherland by accurately describing its history is now a violation of official regime dogma.

Measles, hantavirus, Ebola & parasites aren’t the only diseases surging under Trump’s gutted public health system. He and his team are also working overtime to surge HIV infections and transition HIV back from chronic condition to potential death sentence. Trump leads a death cult.

Trump’s lapdog FCC Chair Brendan Carr is again targeting TV stations for saying things Trump doesn’t like. And again he’s violating the First Amendment in doing so.

The Saudi regime has made clear it wants to develop nuclear weapons. Trump just helped the Saudis enter that path, with no apparent oversight. Trump is fueling global nuclear proliferation.

You just plug them in, and you draw less power from the grid. Our bill is near the finish line. The monopoly utilities are fighting us, but we have momentum.

Electric bills are way too high — particularly PG&E — and plug-in solar is a great way to lower those bills. I’m authoring legislation to allow Californians to easily use these devices; it’s currently quite hard, if not impossible, for people to do so.

Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal & then decided to join with Netanyahu to attack Iran. Trump got us into this mess. Congress must force him to end it, including by not allocating a single dime for it.

The renewed escalation of Trump’s illegal war with Iran could quickly spiral into a much broader war, with profound implications for our security & economy. It’s extremely dangerous & must end. Let’s also remember how we got here:

It’s almost impossible to sue a federal agent, including ICE & Border Patrol, for violating your rights. Now they want ICE & Border Patrol to investigate themselves. We must end the impunity, not expand it. It’s why I’m authoring the No Kings Act, which allows you to sue federal agents.
