I haven’t been talking about vacation a lot b/c I was bummed that I wasn’t going away. My 3 month IOP stay drained my finances so I went to my mom’s house. I’m so grateful I went here now. I don’t think I could have gotten medical treatment if I went to where I usually go.

Finished Tim Curry’s memoir & I’m back to horror with Sisters of the Lost Nation by Nick Medina. I quite enjoyed Indian Burial Ground so I’m excited to try this.

So one of my high school friends found an invite to my 17th birthday. There’s A LOT happening here.

Lawns. I would destroy every lawn I see & replace them with native plants. Waste of water & waste of labor. Same goes for golf courses.

Sometimes I don’t appreciate how good I have it in the northeast. If I need to go to CityMD I get seen within 10 minutes of my appointment, CVS is down the street, & I have a prescription in an hour. It’s taken me 3 hours to deal with a sore throat in rural PA.

I’ve been fighting a sinus infection for the past week & a half. I thought it was getting better but it’s migrated entirely to my throat. What a bummer to be sick on vacation.

I’ll watch the dumbest documentary about unidentified flying objects & be fine, but get irrationally angry when they discuss unidentified submerged objects. In the end they’re all just UFOs, some might just use the ocean as a garage (but they don’t because that’s very silly).

I didn’t just read it, I begged for a set for Christmas when I was 6 or 7. I’d open a volume at random & read. My grandma had a very old set & I’d read that when I visited her. I remember there was a nice full color plate of beetles that kind of scared me.

My mom has AMC+ so I watched the first episode of Vampire Lestat. I need whatever drugs these show runners/writers are on, it’s perfect. Yes, I’ve been endlessly posting Lestat memes without watching the show but I think Lestat would find that pleasing. He ASKED for a million memes & screens.

It’s 10 in the morning & my mom is watching Tales From the Darkside. Now we all know where I got it from.

I watched The Perfect Neighbor documentary yesterday. For those unfamiliar, it’s about Susan Lorincz fatally shooting her neighbor, Ajike Owens. It’s mostly told through body cam footage & 911 calls. It’s interesting using the body cam footage as narrative but it also makes me angry.
