Everybody should be able to walk down the street without people saying provocative things to them, even if those things might be broadly descriptive. "Oldie", "Whitey" etc would be offensive too IMO. However, if this is his best example of the "hate" thrown at him, he's led a charmed life. #Auspol

The point of insisting that Israel declare its borders isn't to find out their intentions, which are obvious from their behaviour & what they say domestically. It's to stop the "innocent victim" gaslighting that allows politicians & others in the rest of the world to pretend that they don't know.

These Israeli Jews were protesting against settler violence supported by the Israeli govt, and were supporting Palestinian rights. Lucky they weren't in Australia, where the PM's hand-picked envoy would have labeled them antisemitic. #auspol

It's a clear tactic of Israel to not declare its "borders". Obviously, to many in (& supporting) Israel its intended borders extend way beyond the current "borders", encompassing all of Palestine and huge chunks of neighbouring countries. The dishonesty around this is disgusting. #Auspol

Yes, but AA need not declare a view on the borders of Israel. What he & others should do is to insist that ISRAEL now declares openly what its actual intentions about its borders are, ie to cut the BS to which the world has been subjected for 78 years about that.
