Actually if you think about it a government where most of the power is invested in the elected representatives of the people is totally undemocratic. The more power is held by systems of elite rigging and/or unelected super-legislators, the more democracy!

The only true Democracy is one where John Roberts is the nation's most important legislator and the president gets to raise and spend money however he feels like. This is called "checks and balances".
