I saw this photo, and went back to it a few times, as I was looking at TJ's website yesterday. It is among my favorites from his collection, partly because I have wandered the desert where he took this for many days and have never seen anything quite like it myself.

This was one of the best and most exhilarating days I have spent in Death Valley National Park. It is the only time I have seen so much sand swirling around Tucki Mountain and it created a fresh composition option after photographing here so many times. #blackandwhite #naturephotography
