The way we stop upland fires is dramatic rewetting and rewilding of our hills and reducing emissions like it's a life or death situation... Using every lever available to the state domestically and internationally to immediately cut emissions everywhere. It's literally the only way we can stop them

I wonder if part of this is that these protests were labelled as farmers protests because that's a magic labelling in ireland, but were full of people who weren't farmers at all. Like there were some there of course but I dont think it was the majority

There's a direct correlation between the heat waves and wildfires everywhere and governments pushing ahead with LNG terminals etc

The thing about nuclear, yes, great, go build one... But what about the 30 years between now and one feasibly coming on stream? it doesn't actually address the problems that we face in any reasonable way....so much so that it doesn't deserve the attention it gets
