Does anyone besides academics and scholars care whether or not Shakespeare wrote all the plays and sonnets? I just saw a very good one-act, one-person play that's convinced me beyond much doubt that a woman named Mary Sidney wrote all of it. The author/actor of the play is Talia Pura.

As often as possible I try to keep myself from jumping to my default opinion. One, because sometimes I'm wrong. More importantly though, our default opinion often is like a blocker, it blocks out any real understanding, any possibility of real connection to our world.

I've been tempted for quite awhile to unfollow anyone who pushes the cause of fear. And there are many, many of those among us.

What if most diseases are caused by . . . fear? It might be so.

You might say we all have a fatal disease. It's called life. And there is an inevitable end for everyone. Maybe it's one we should all celebrate. That life thing.

When we got here four weeks ago we hung two hummingbird feeders. People said there weren't many here. At first we only had a couple stragglers. Four weeks late we have dozens, including these tiny, feisty ones with red head and orange bodies. They won't stay still for their photos so far.

A good morning in our new setting. D's off shopping and exploring our new town. I played my Kim Richey album and made an omelette, did dishes, now playing Blood on the Tracks. Doesn't get too much better . . .
