The Alternate HistorianI'm not going to pretend the US isn't partly at fault for everything that happened in Korea post-1945, but it's important to note that no one in Korea knew who the fuck Kim Il Sung was. But the Soviets needed one of there's and so today his grandkid leads the only communist absolute monarchy. 🤷♂️
I can imagine this actually kicking off...had it been done by the Bush admin during the 2000s. You know, back when Halo was at its peak and the US was in a war large segments of society actually supported somewhat.

Honestly, beyond his first term, FDR wasn't all that revolutionary. After the Court Packing scheme, a lot of his biggest initiatives were dismantled by the Conservative court, and for the rest of his presidency he was more or less a normie lib whom most of his modern base would view like Biden tbh.
The Alternate HistorianI don't want to put the OP on blast, but I keep seeing claims like this and they seem a bit ahistorical? FDR was not politically a socialist and his New Deal, which certainly had some things that socialists might approve, could arguably be considered acceptable within a capitalist framework.
One of the craziest rabbitholes I went down this summer was just how much US cold war plans for WW3 with the soviets was based on the memoirs of Hitler's old generals, right down to the latters racist assumptions and copes. Boys literally thought it would be WW2 human waves in 1985 😭
