So true. One of my all-time favorite comics is a pretty didactic issue of "The Adventures of Superman," in which Dan Jurgens explored a teenage Clark's darkest moment. It's emotionally honest and really understands Clark's character, so even though it isn't "great" by most metrics, it inspires me.
