It’s a short camp to try out (new) car camping again before we head out for a couple longer camps after a two-year hiatus. We’re heading to a lake that is really too small for that canoe, but I’m happy just to lay down in the middle of it and read a book looking up at the mountains. Thanks, pal.💜

Seriously, I read about a dude who went to Van Island to take down a murder hornet nest. He had carhartt coveralls over jeans and the hornets stung him thru both layers in the middle of the NIGHT. He said it felt like a nail gun.

Having had honeybees and been stung dozens of times (not bad) and reading those descriptions, I cmthink anyone that does that voluntarily is nuts. Oh, a murder hornet? Just pop that baby right on my thigh…

Trying to figure out a family camp in K-country & the K pass per vehicle on top of the camping fees. Did you know that they’ve contracted a BC company to manage their campgrounds? That a 40ft trailer and hemi teuck pays less than a tent trailer, tent and a couple cars? I’m spittin’ mad over here.
