So my husband and I took our kid to the Museum of Science and Industry yesterday, and we sprung for the guided U505 tour - it was extremely cool, especially since I hadn't visited the submarine since they moved it indoors years ago.

My new purse from @bibiblossoms.bsky.social has arrived and I just love it! It feels so well made and has so many pockets and space for masks, diabetes gear, low snacks, etc. I even got a compliment the first time I wore it to the office. 😁

Big props to my son's kindergarten class for giving Chicago the proper respect it deserves on Culture Day. 😁

Okie dokie, time to see if this game ruins my life for months at a time the same way Rimworld did!

Ok, yes. Slay the Spire 2 is *very good, and may have just taken my attention for an hour after playing *only* RimWorld since October. And I don't even (generally?) enjoy Roguelikes/Roguelites?

The Dad who's kid was over yesterday was talking up the doughnuts at drop off this morning, so my parental ego continues to be fed. 😁 **Received Compliment: +3 Mood**

I know it's a bit silly, but I'm a teeny tiny bit proud that I was able to pivot during my son's playdate today and turn the box of cake mix into baked and glazed mini doughnuts instead of the cupcakes with store bought frosting as originally intended. Mom win (and personal ego boost)!

Another proud nerd mom moment - my kindergartener brought home this drawing - what a classic! I was shocked that my husband didn't *immediately* clock it. You all see it too, right?

My kindergartener just requested that I put on the Hamster Dance song on YouTube to listen to while we make dinner... And what a proud Millennial mother I am, having a child who appreciates *The Classics.* 😁

Just got a text alert for snow *squall* this morning until 9am. Huh, 40 years in this city and that's a new one to me. Chicago weather - always keeping us on our (very wet, very cold) toes. 😬

That would be the beautiful Chicago river, baby! My old office downtown used to overlook the Riverwalk, and god damn do I miss seeing this view daily from our lunch room.
