Ha! The funny thing is that’s how I felt coming to cartography conferences at first — I was from the science world! And yeah, interdisciplinary is where it’s at.

Awesome! I’m, looking forward to it. The climate community needs *more* input from cartography, dataviz, and design professionals. They’ve gotten better, especially at the institutional level, but still have a ways to go.

It wasn't NACIS! (I’ll be there, and I am excited about this one. (It was Visualizing Climate, where I was planning on giving a similar talk to a different audience.)

I just found out I was rejected to speak at a conference in a field I think I’ve been fairly influential in, and it stings.
