Badenoch made a huge mistake on a political and moral level and has exhibited poor judgement. That is not a surprise. What is surprising is the number of Tory MPs and supporters queuing up to back her and thereby demonstrating their own poor judgement. Were I a supporter I'd be very concerned.

I know I shouldn't be given her form, but I am still shocked at badly Badenoch has played all this. Really poor politics.

I've never known a politician who calls it wrong so many times yet remains as assured and defiant as Badenoch, with the possible exception of Trump.

I wonder what cats really think about us constantly taking their photograph or filming them? It would be good to hear from them with their views? I suspect quite a few are expert in image rights and want their cut.

I very much welcome Burnham's comments on social care provision. Working age disabled people in receipt of social care support should be part of this conversation, but I fear the media focus will be on older people. If we don't look at this properly then no real reforms will work.
