I've been reluctant to share this – de mortibus etc. – but it really is too problematic to ignore. One of my daughters "did the math" on Markéta a long time ago, but we kinda hoped it was an irresistible if borderline transgressive "true love" story. What we're now hearing is a lot more troubling.

Seems like a sound guy in a market-adjacent public-service job. It would have been better to keep the cap on the salaries of bank senior managers than to facilitate – yet again – the recruitment of the sort of go-boys who have repeatedly left the taxpayer to pick up billions of Euros in debt.
