In my lifetime, the two most impactful medical interventions I can think of have been antiretrovirals for HIV and vaccines for COVID, and Fauci has been deeply involved in both.

I don't do this (complement authors I don't know but whose work I admire) enough. I was recently praised for my graduate work (now decades old... the perils of an MD-PhD) from a PI who was then an undergrad in a "competitor's" lab, and I gotta say it felt great. Science could use more of this.

Then, in the spirit of sharing, send a note to authors: a simple kudos or a more detailed question. I do this a dozen times a year. It's awesome. Try it.
