I don't think we can overstate how much the Badenoch policy heuristic is "What do Labour say? THEN SAY THE OPPOSITE!"

Badenoch, whether she understands this or not, isn't simply raising a question about whether 2030 or 2040 would be better targets for Net Zero, she's signalling that the Tories are very much the party for people who think that climate change is made up.

Signals matter in politics. When David Cameron "went green", it was far from obvious that he knew or cared about the issue (a wind turbine on your roof, really? A hybrid *Lexus*?) But he wanted to signal that the Tories weren't just a party for furious men with red trousers.

Yeah, come back to me when you're outing "a source close to Farage".

050

No one would believe that.

(a source close to me said.)

Come back on and tell us!

That was one of the more surprising moments for me! My silent films experience was largely Harold Lloyd and Chaplin.

Sherlock Holmes and Zorro's Fighting Legion on BBC2 after school. Flash Gordon in the summer holidays.

Ah yes, the Wild Geese origin story.

100

Hope you enjoy it...

Yes on Ungentlemanly Act. On Heartbreak Ridge, this is truly damning with faint praise.

I think this is the year for us.

In the short term, can strongly recommend a ceiling fan. Installed one in our bedroom three weeks ago, and it's improved sleep a lot.

120

YEAH!

I'm a hard-hearted protestant, though.

My favourite thing about it is that early on he tells you his approach to getting out of trouble - fess up to what's it there, obscure the rest - and then he spends the rest of the book doing that.

Sadly, undone by some combination of the bumping pitch and the blinding light.

Ten to make, and the match to win.
