Thread: I think it’s important to keep your feet on the ground, to draw what you know. I’ve worked with the odd penguin over the years & was always struck not only by their elegant plumage but also their clever eyes. This lad is about creative freedom - but also keeping it real [1]

I am getting close to blocking the name of that mythology film. It’s truly depressing how many tulips can’t think for themselves so have to wait for a movie to work out what to talk about. It’s also depressing seeing how many don’t understand the role of Classics in colonialism & oppression* 🙄

Morris, as one of the most respected feminists in these islands, gives the lie that ‘gender critical ideology’ is any kind of feminism. It is, in fact, a far right ideology whose goal is to persecute & criminalise all trans ppl. It is a case of history rhyming, as the Nazis also targeted trans ppl.

One of the continuing sad aspects of the theocracy, which took over the 26 county Ireland as colonial power departed, is that its influence & thinking still impacts some ppl. That’s seen most in misogyny, violence towards women & children, & towards LGBTQ ppl, as well as other minorities.

So called ‘Gender Critical ideology’ [transphobia] is a colonial project. It’s about removing autonomy from the individual & forcing them to behave as authority dictates. This is why it has run rampant in colonial cultures like the UK & US, but failed in post-colonial anti-authoritarian Ireland*.
