TIL - this cloud visible from Vancouver is a pyrocumulus or flammagenitus cloud - it’s the Boston Bar fire. The canyon there is lined with First Nations fishing stations that have been continuously repaired for 1000+ years, sites so old footprints have been worn into the stone.

I’ve become a ‘seal whisperer’. This one seal was hanging out in front of of my beach office (aka park bench by 3rd beach) all afternoon - and then my wife and I went swimming at Jericho (across the bay), and out of nowhere we had another seal swim between us.
