I was up somewhere between Ashland and Crater Lake hiking when those fires broke. Seemed like they kept starting right behind me.

The AQI in my neighborhood has jumped like 40pts since I first posted this. Fucking crazy.

I use YNAB, but some folks say it's hard to figure out, and doesn't include investments (and has a sub fee). I've heard good things about Monarch; that it's for gig worker budgeting and investments.

Holy shiiiit, this rocks!!

This post is about bailing on my big 3-week backpacking trip because the conditions were dangerous, and wondering if maybe I actually could have done it. Nothing deathly serious.

Oh gosh, it's nothing deadly serious. Just canceling a big, expensive, multi-week trip after only a few days.

When I last flew to Seattle I spent a solid half of that trip talking to someone about Mt. Saint Helens Adams, and Rainier. It's just what I do.

It's fucking one hundred degrees and my train isn't until midnight. At least I can kill three to four hours seeing the Odyssey.
