In Ohio, there's a big fight to abolish property taxes right now and I think those are the people pushing it the most. Unfortunately, property taxes are how our schools are funded currently and I've heard no plan for what would fill the void.

My favorite thing about this interview is that Elon doesn't seem to grasp that the utopia that he is disingenuously proposing in his robot fairy tale is just pure communism. A clever interviewer might ask him how he reconciles that utopia with the systems he's currently materially supporting.

Yeah my view is that he believed that if he had voted to convict and Trump was convicted as a result, it would shatter the power of the Republican party and most of what he had worked for in the previous decades would have been undone and Dem majorities would persist for a while.

It was the most transparent shit in the world and it's fucking infuriating that he's been allowed to sabotage a winnable Senate race with his sociopathy.

They're just underpants gnomes who think that letting everything burn will magically lead to a glorious revolution. Meanwhile they turn a blind eye to those that would suffer immensely on the way and they ignore the fact that there are other outcomes that are more probable than their preferred one.
