I was just told that I was apparently discussed post the Yoshikazu Yasuhiko panel at Otacon quite a bit and I am actually befuddled and was unaware until now. I am genuinely happy in some regards that I have contributed something in that regard, whatever the scope.

Found an old gem while looking for something totally different haha

In 1976, members of TEATIME, an imprint of the Osamu Tezuka F.C. Tokyo, wrote a detailed chronological event sheet on The Poe Clan (Poe no Ichizoku)'s storyline. As the series was at its end in Shūkan Shōjo Comic, this is one of the few written documents we have showing fan archiving of the story.

Sorry for any delays in responding! I've been busy with work and commissions and haven't had a chance to scan anything. I did get some boxes in yesterday, however they are continuations of some behind the scenes research projects I'll reveal later. Hope all is well over here!

Uploading here to give everyone on Bluesky a first look - volume 0 of one of the oldest Osamu Tezuka FCs of their day, Tokyo, has now been fully archived in 4K/HD. To view the files, please visit the links below for downloading options. This book hasn't been touched or seen in over 40+ years.

This Osamu Tezuka shit got serious back in 1976 - finishing up the editing and clean up on this particular volume of TOKYO from 1976. This is a massive book and lots of areas are damaged - I'm uploading it in its main native page colors this time as its rather aged.

In regards to their 'revitalization' efforts, a fairly common phenom among fan groups falling apart was a lack of submissions/interest. Many relaunches and rebrands happened even among Tezuka FC works. The original imprint was called TOKYO, published in 1976:

From my basement trip to Hyogo, I present a 4K/HD scan of one of the most obscure Osamu Tezuka FC zines titled Metropolis. This work was published as a revitalization effort on the behalf of the Circle known as TOKYO. To view the full book, visit below:

A hand-drawn piece of Aim for the Ace (エースをねらえ!) fanart drawn by Anonymous with purple sumi ink on parchment paper, circa 1976. Personal collection.

Something very special about this to me considering, all of this history on one page. You'd never think this was from 1980, much less late 1980!

I got a very interesting ask on Tumblr that lead me to explain my positionality and the historical context of what we understand about the MLM coterie magazine Adonis vs early commercial BL of the 1970s. While different, they both operated in and inspired later doujinshi made pre and post Comiket.

I just learned that Akihiro Miwa passed away - words really can't describe what this scene meant to me when I first saw it around 2021. There are several memories I have attached to Miwa and their intelligent, unapologetic sense of self. May they rest in peace 🙏
