Literally have like a 6 post rant about names, I CANNOT ALLOW MYSELF INTO THIS AGAIN. I appreciate a fellow name enthusiast, though. <3

Though with women, at least in the one example we have, the family name is at the beginning of the name, as that's what happens with Nanamo Ul Namo and her mother Nanasha Ul Nasha. Full family name, full birth name, repeats broken down into the first syllable of each.
Rerenima RurunimaEveryone else seems to follow this format, including women.

Rerenima RurunimaAlmost everyone seems to have the potential family name at the end of their name, but not Cocobuki Lolobuki. The ONE set of letters that all their names has in common is "ob", which is also repeated in his courtesy name. It may just be a weird little one-off. There are no other examples of it.

Rerenima RurunimaYou know what? I'm gonna walk some of what I've said previously back. The very same Lala I've used to make my argument for family names is the one that doesn't follow the scheme that 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑙𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤. (I'm sorry.. we're doing it again) #ffxiv #lalafell #headcanon
I feel like more people need to see and appreciate this person's work, and it also brings up an interesting question: how common is Lalafellin among modern lalas? Do any of your characters know how to speak it? www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/s/09... #FFXIV #lalafell #ffxivlore #wolquestion
Unsure. Pensive, probably. He never knew his mother, so he has naught but rumors and personal accounts of who she was. The general consensus seems to be positive, though.
Ikumi Yamoshi 📚WOLQOTD Enthusiast📚#wolqotd / #wolquestion If someone says to your wol / oc ‘you’re just like your mother’ how are they reacting?
Okay I'm done. Glad I got that out of me. Have a nice day.
Rerenima RurunimaSince Rere's part of the upper class, most people will refer to him only as "Rurunima" in polite company, and to call him by anything else would be a grave insult. Only close friends and other races who don't get the culture are allowed to call him Rerenima. Even fewer may use Rere, his birth name.

Rerenima RurunimaSo because we know that Plainsfolk lalafells always refer to each other by their full name in every context, I've headcanoned that certain Dunesfolk stick to the more traditional formality of only using one's courtesy name to refer to each other.

Rerenima RurunimaSorry, tangent. Anyway. In real life culture, it was rude to refer to anyone with a courtesy name by their birth name unless you were a very close friend or family member. So...

Rerenima RurunimaFor Lalas, age 20 seems to be universal for both genders. Back to the Coco brothers again, Cocobuki Lolobuki is the only brother with a courtesy name, which would suggest he's the only member of the family over age 20. The Thaumaturge's guild is being run by literal children. Think about that.

Rerenima RurunimaYou know I promised a random tangent about courtesy names, so I'm paying off my debt. So in some Asian cultures, back in the day they used to give men courtesy names at age 20 and women upon marriage. (con't) #ffxiv #headcanon #lalafell
Rere is definitely visiting clothing stores but also low key scouting for new business partners while he's doing it.
lady protector | 7.5 spoilers#wolqotd your oc finds themself in a new town going shopping. what kind of stores are they drawn to visiting first? what do they look at in them? do they buy anything?
