Five things worth the money 💰

I just voted A FIFTH TIME to end the war in Iran. This shouldn’t be up for debate. The American people have made clear they need a life they can afford, not another senseless, forever war.

The Stop Insider Trading Act is a Trojan Horse for part of the SAVE Act, which functionally ends mail-in voting.  In Oregon, we vote by mail universally, and our state leaders work hard to ensure it’s safe and secure. I just voted no and will continue to fight ALL forms of voter suppression.

Coalitions like these lead to movements that lead to real change. I am honored to work in partnership with these professionals and community leaders who represent the voices so often left behind as we fight for climate justice.

I am grateful to Earthjustice for convening a roundtable focused on the intersection of the climate crisis, racial justice, and public health.

Republicans are pushing a bill (part of the SAVE Act) that would make it harder for eligible voters to vote—and eviscerate mail-in voting. Let me be clear: Vote by mail is safe. There is a reason why our state has done it for decades. I will fight to maintain the Oregon way.

A budget is a reflection of priorities—and time and time again—Republicans have chosen to bankroll an immoral war that the American people DO NOT WANT, instead of working to make life better for the people they serve. It is a disgrace. I will be voting NO.
