Actively clinging to "I'm going to GenCon in a few days so I have no time" as an excuse not to actually clean my house right now. Pretty sure it's working.

My single most important goal for GenCon this year is to find a way to not stop at that goddamn Wendy's just off the highway in Chillicothe, OH, as I drive out. Because I stop there Every. Goddamn. Year.

Two things I have noticed: I have a much lower tolerance for people whose social media posts or comments make me say "Oh God, not that asshole again." My definition of "that asshole" has gotten much broader over recent months.

It is 7AM and I am sitting in a motel room near the base of the Delaware Memorial Bridge losing a fight with a piece of string cheese. It’s going to be one hell of a day.

Another Necon complete. What a wonderful time, what wonderful people, where did all the cheese go and where did all these books come from?

Necon is winding down. Out of cheese. Still have scotch.

Am having a delightful time at Necon, and have successfully navigated the cheesescape therein.

I can only assume this is the Albany, NY Dutch Giant version of "Oh crap, I put both socks in the dryer but now there's only the one."

Sometimes social media reminds you that people are exactly who they have always been, and that the person they have always been is not someone you want in your life. In that very small way, it can be useful.

How on earth is your producer supposed to fit "sit around and do nothing" and "have interesting conversations" and "allow your subconscious to work on a complicated problem in the background" into a Jira? For shame!
